About Mike Gorin:

Mike Gorin is the son of Tom Gorin, one of the founding Owners of Gorin Hopper McCoy, a sales agency representing electrical manufacturers within the Southern United States. From an early age, Mike Gorin was immersed in the world of business thanks to his father, who believed in the importance of an education rooted in entrepreneurship.  From sweeping warehouse floors to shadowing his father on sales calls, Mike learned the ropes of being an electrical manufacturing sales agent from the ground up. Driven by a desire for new challenges and a deep commitment to family legacy, Mike formally continued his education earning a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia in finance. Armed with real-world experiences, Mike began his professional career in finance where he quickly climbed the ranks and gained invaluable insights into the nuances of operations, customer dynamics, and international and domestic market trends.  

In the early 2000’s Mike returned to the electrical industry, with a renewed focus on leveraging accumulated knowledge and a fresh set of skills. Back in a familiar landscape armed with new insights Mike quickly excelled. In 2010 Mike was appointed Chairman of NEMRA, National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association, validating his reputation nationally. These collative experiences along with the unwavering commitment to preserve and build upon the strong legacy serve as the bedrock upon which Amur Trench is built.  

Mike remains committed to hard work, and product innovation centered on renewable materials, improving customer safety and exceeding customer expectations. While operational tools, processes, and products have evolved over the decades, Amur Trench’s core mission remains constant; we design products that save money, and time, use renewable resources, and most importantly save lives. Amur Trench’s customer satisfaction is the top priority.
